CM, IGAR (S) extend Kut greetings

Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh has greeted the people of Manipur, especially the Kuki-Chin-Mizo brethren on the occasion of Kut festival.
In his message to the people, the Chief Minister observed that Kut, the post harvest festival of Kuki-Chin-Mizo groups of people is an occasion of thanksgiving to the Almighty God for the bountiful harvest after a year-long hard toil.
The festival occupies a unique position not only among the Kuki-Chin-Mizo groups of people but also among other communities in the State.
While extending his heartiest greetings and best wishes to all on the occasion, the Chief Minister has also expressed hope that the festival will spread the message of peace, communal harmony, friendship and brotherhood amongst various communities living in the state.
"On this auspicious occasion, let us resolved our differences and come together and work unitedly for a peaceful and prosperous Manipur", the Chief Minister exhorted.
On the other hand, IGAR (South) Major General UK Gurung and all ranks of Assam Rifles have extended warm greetings and sincere goodwill to the people of Manipur on the auspicious occasion of Kut festival.
In his message, IGAR (S) observed that the festival of Kut is not only a thanks giving to God for bountiful harvest but also symbolizes compassion, gaiety and gratitude.
