On the other hand, tension ran high at the celebration venue for sometimes with mediapersons staging a walk-out from covering the event over alleged indifferent attitude of the State Level Kut Committee, which organized the celebration.
Apart from allotting seats to mediapersons in the open under the hot sun, mediapersons alleged that they were denied taking photographs of the cultural items presented in an official programme attended by the Chief Minister himself.
The issue, however, was resolved after an agreement between All Manipur Working Journalists Union (AMWJU) and State Level Kut Committee.
Consequently, mediapersons agreed to cover event.
