Do not deceive public: Th Bishwajit

Imphal, October 14 2015: Deceiving the public and indulging in overstatement with intents to gain political mileage is not in vogue these days, said former MLA of Thongju AC, Th Bishwajit.

Bishwajit was speaking as the chief guest of a public meeting organised by Development Committees of 5/22 and 5/23 polling stations of Thongju AC at Ibudhou Khana Chaoba Shanglen, Akampat.

He said he is stepping into politics with the aim to uplift Thongju AC and making a better society.

Bishwajit said that it was very unfortunate that some political party leaders and workers are indulging in making illogical statements just to gain votes.

The former MLA accused the Congress party of playing petty politics by making Fair Price Shop agents dysfunctional soon after he quitted as an MLA.

However, the agents resumed distributing PDS items to the public following a verdict of a Court.

Bishwajit urged the Congress party not to indulge in such cheap politics in future.

No proposal for road construction was included in respect of Thongju AC under PMGSY since ten years back.

There was no scientific crematorium in the AC.

He said that he made proposal for inclusion of the AC under PMGSY scheme after becoming the MLA.

Bishwajit further said that most of the roads within Thongju AC will be blacktopped by the end of March 2016 .
