Nemcha urges all stakeholders to comply with MCPCR's recommendations

Social Welfare and Cooperation Minister Nemcha Kipgen underlined the importance of the Manipur Commission for Protection of Child Rights (MCPCR) in protecting and promoting children, constant monitoring of the basic fundamental rights of children and generating awareness programme of the same apart from taking up other welfare activities.
She conveyed this while attending the 7th Foundation Day of Manipur Commission for Protection of Child Rights as the chief guest.
The function was organised at MCPCR's office complex, North AOC, Imphal today under the theme "Revisiting and exploring more for Justice to Children".
Speaking on the occasion, Nemcha urged all stakeholders including State agency, police department, law court, schools, private institutions, individuals etc to comply with the directives and recommendations of MCPCR, as it is a constitutional body.
She further assured that she has been and will continue to extend every possible assistance and intervention whenever necessary.
The Social Welfare Minister lauded the commission for working selflessly with an objective that no child should be denied of their basic fundamental rights and also making sure that MCPCR reaches out to the victims to bring them to safety when need arises.
She expressed hope that the commission will continue its exceptional services in the long run.
Chairperson of Manipur State Women Commission M Binota Devi, Secretary, Water Resources & Minor Irrigation Jacintha Lazarus, Chairperson, Manipur Commission for Protection of Child Rights, Sumatibala graced the occasion as guests of honour and president respectively.
Officials concerned from various Government departments were also present in the function.
