The detained Bangladeshi nationals has been identified as Soidul Alom Barburia (25) s/o Udin Ojar Barburia, Ratishchandra Roy (31)s/o Dijindra Chandra Roy, Siraj Uddin (60) s/o Abdul Gaffar, Habibur (23) s/o Gaffar Ali, Md Mainodir s/o late Masot Ali and Samsulal Alam Barburia (23) s/o Gair Uddin Barburia.

He also appealed the people of the State to inform FREINDS if any body comes upon such persons anywhere in the State.
According to 2001 census, the total population of foreigners living in the State was recorded as 74488 and this clearly shows that influx of foreigners in Manipur from neighboring Myanmar and Bangladesh has increased at an alarming rate which needs to be controlled so as to save the indigenous people of the state from disappearing.
