Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee mourns

The Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee has mourned the demise of former President of India, Pranab Mukherjee.
MPCC president, Moirangthem Okendra, CWC Member Gaikhangam, MLA N Loken and other members of the party paid floral tribute to the photo of Pranab Mukherjee.
Expressing condolence to the bereaved family members, MPCC president M Okendra said that the Congress has lost a great leader and his demise has left a void that can never be filled.
He was the 13th President of India and a Bharat Ratna Awardee, who had led the party to new heights.
During his lifetime, he had acted as Finance Minister, Defence Minister, External Affairs Minister and as Deputy Chairman of Planning Commission, said Okendra.
The party members observed two minutes silence to show their respect to the departed leader.
Former President Pranab Mukherjee died on Monday at the Army's Research and Referral Hospital in Delhi where he was admitted after a fall at his home.
At the hospital, he also tested positive for COVID-19 .
He was operated upon for removing a blood clot in his brain.
Meanwhile, Speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly, Y Khemchand, Manipur State Council, Communist Party of India, and Lok Janshakti Party have also mourned the demise of the former President.
