RSS, Seva Bharti extend aid to Covid patients

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and volunteers of Seva Bharati distributed AYUSH-64 tablets to COVID-19 patients in collaboration with Regional Research Institute for Homeopathy, New Checkon road.
The tablets were distributed to COVID-19 positive patients between the age group of 18 and 60 years currently in home isolation or isolation centres at different districts, said a statement issued by Covid Response Team, RSS.
RK Dinamani, co-convenor of Covid Response Team RSS said the patients were divided into two groups, asymptomatic and mild to moderately symptomatic patients.
The asymptomatic patients were handed over two bottles of AYUSH-64 and directed to take 2 tablets twice a day while the latter group was given 3 bottles each and were directed to take 2 tablets thrice a day.
He added that after personal interaction with the patients through telephone, their positive reports, contact number and a valid ID proof were submitted to AYUSH portal's Google form and the required tablets were delivered to them directly at home or isolation centres by volunteers of Covid Response Team, RSS.
Masks and sanitizers were also handed over to the patients as per their needs.
The team also extended support in procurement of medicines for patients in containment zones or isolation centres, who have been unable to buy it due to restrictions in movement, added the statement.
RK Dinamani further mentioned that doctors are taking feedback and progress reports from the patients personally and filling up Google forms on Day 1, Day 7, Day 14 and Day 21 to keep track of the patients.
As of today, more than 1000 patients have been helped.
