Minister inaugurates State's first Community Police Centre, others in CCpur

State Agriculture Minister V Hangkhanlian has today inaugurated the state's first Community Police Centre at the heart of Churachandpur's New Bazar in exceptional initiative to amalgamate the services of the state police as well as the community fight rampant crimes in the district.
The minister who was on an inaugural spree ahead of the ensuing parliamentary election at his home turf also inaugurated the District Library managed by Autonomous District Council, an OPD Counter at ADC Complex, Tuibong and launched two new Sanitary trucks of the ADC.
Addressing a public gathering later at ADC Complex, V Hangkhanlian said that the success of the projects inaugurated today and other welfare schemes depends on the cooperation of the people.
He appealed the public to extend maximum co-operation to facilitate full functioning of the Community Policing Centre opened today which is also the first of its kind in the State.
He continued that the District Library-cum-Study Centre although with limited facilities will cater to the reading needs of the people including the students.
Highlighting that the recently launched farmer-oriented scheme PM-KISAN is for the welfare of both the land owners and the landless farmers, Hangkhanlian urged the village chiefs of the hill districts, where land holding system is different, to certify genuine landless farmers within their jurisdiction without any qualm so that the villagers get Rs 6000/- assistance per year.
He further appealed the village chiefs not to exploit villagers and rather show benevolence and generosity to ensure that the benefits under PM-KISAN scheme reach all their villagers.
He urged all concerned stakeholders including civil society organisations and media to extend maximum cooperation to ensure that the district scripts impressive success in the implementation of the scheme.
He also expressed the desire to see the newly inaugurated Library, the OPD as well as the Sanitary Trucks to serve their respective intended services.
