CCpur, March 02 2019:
An Autonomous District Council member of the BJP has tendered his resignation from the party as he expressed in a statement that he feels the party has no principles when dealing with its own members, reports our correspondent.
CT Lian Guite, who was elected from New Lamka West through the BJP ticket tendered his resignation yesterday before BJP Churachandpur Mandal president.
Detailing the reason behind his resignation, CT Lian told The Sangai Express that the party has done great injustice to him and few other members allocating funds for the 14th Finance Commission.
Though the party feels it fit to grant some members nearly a crore for the development of their constituencies, his constituency alone with few others were allotted a little more than Rs 20 lakh, Guite said.
"They have allocated a meagre 4 projects for my constituency and above all they all pre-identified the works leaving me no space to have a say on what works and where the works should be taken up.
This is nothing but injustice", the member said.
He also produced the official document to authenticate his claims and show that the Ministry of Finance, GoI has through Secretariat Hills Department, GoM granted Rs 14377 lakh to the ADCs of the State with Churachandpur receiving Rs 32,25,47,995 .
