O Ibobi Singh Chief Minister of Manipur
It gives me immense pleasure to learn that a leading newspaper Hueiyen Lanpao (English edition) has chalked out a plan to celebrate its 2nd anniversary on 21st September, 2010. The Hueiyen Lanpao stands at a crucial juncture today when members of the Fourth Estate are required to report effectively on subjects as varied as development matters and the scourge of militancy.
In such a scenario, the role of a news agency such as the Hueiyen Lanpao assumes greater importance as it has been effectively walking the tight rope of impartiality and transparency.
It is expected that Hueiyen Lanpao would continue to disseminate news with accuracy and speed.
I extend my best wishes to Hueiyen Lanpao for a golden future.
