Imphal, September 20, 2010: With the arrest of an important woman cadre of the RPF/PLA, police have found covert nexus between the organisation and CSOs, Meira Paibi leaders and their organisations.

In a press release, Senior SP Imphal West district, L Kailun said that on 19/09/2010 at about 4 pm on received of a specific information about the presence of some women cadres of RPF/PLA in the general area of Thangmeiband Hijam Leikai soliciting the public and Meira Paibies to organize the forthcoming 32nd Raising day of RPF on 25th September and also collecting information about the residents of Non-Manipuris in the Imphal area.

On receipt of the information, teams of CDO/IW district under the supervision of ASP (Ops), Imphal West district rushed to the area and conducted search operation.

At about 5 pm, during the operation one woman who was trying to sneak out from the cordon area was detained at the gate of one Laishram Babumacha of Thangmeiband Hijam Leikai.

On verification she identified herself as Km.

R.K.Rina Devi (43) @ Ningol @ Tombi d/o R.K.Sanatomba Singh of Sagolband Mabudhou Mantri Leikai, an S/S Lt of RPF/PLA.

She disclosed that she joined RPF through one Rubi in the year 1995 and got basic military training (BMT) at Mamangching in the year 1996.She was promoted to M.C.No.133 Lieutenant in the year 2008 and posted at Manipur as Secretary, Women Wing, RPF.

She further disclosed that she recruited new cadres to RPF.

She was entrusted to organize the ensuing 32nd Raising Day of RPF/PLA on 25th September 2010.The celebration is coded and titled as Irabot day celebration using local Meira Paibies, local over-ground workers and other frontal organizations of RPF/PLA.

Some of the important leader of meira paibis contacted by Lt.Tombi includes 1.RK.

Landhoni Devi of Poirei Leimarol, 2.Ima Memcha of Poirei Leimarol, 3.Ima Renu of Poirei Ita Meirapaibi, 4.Ima Kumu of Poirei Ita Meirapaibi 5.Ima Merna of Khwai Bazar 6.Ima Kunjarani.

She has also submitted� estimate for giving money to the following NGOs and social organizations for organizing Raising Day celebration in the name of Irabat Day celebration.

viz 1.SLUCO (Singjamei to Lilong Area) Rs 1,35,000/-, 2.AFCO (Sagolband to Malom Area) Rs 1,04,000/-, 3.RUCO (Lamsang Area) Rs 57,400/-, 4.YUDCO (Sekmaijin-Uchiwa area) Rs 22,800/-" AMALCO (Wangoi to Mayang Imphal) Rs 56,000/respectively.However, the party has sanctioned an amount of Rs 2,97,000/- only for the purpose.

The above mentioned amount has been provided by Lieutenant RK Rina Devi (43) @ Ningol @ Tombi RPF/PLA through one of her assistant one S/S M.C No.163 Lieutenant Kanon.

She further disclosed that the meira paibis mentioned above are also involved in' collecting information of non-Manipuris in the Greater Imphal area and the same was submitted to Lt.Tombi with a view to eliminate/intimidate the non-Manipuris.

On her disclosures some relevant documents of RPF were recovered from the house of Laishram Babumacha Singh, the same were seized by observing formalities.

She also disclosed the email ID ([email protected]) used by her wherein many incriminating documents, which were communicated to her from other party cadres including the General Secretary of RPF/PLA Mr.Gune, are found.

A criminal case has been registered and investigated into it at Imphal police station.
