MASA to resume cease work strike from Nov 21

Imphal, November 15 2011:
Reacting against the inaction of the state government regarding its assurances on the demands of the government employees of the state, the Manipur Secretariat Services' Association (MASA) in coordination with the Joint Administrative Council of AMGEO & AMTUC and Manipur State Pensioners' Union will be resuming its indefinite cease work strike from November 21 onwards, stated a press release of MASA today.
Information was also forwarded to the Secretary to the Chief Minister of Manipur regarding the decision of the association.
It may be mentioned that MASA, JAC of AMGEO & AMTUC and MSPU have been demanding payment / clearance of 51 months arrears of Pay & Allowances as given to State Govt's Judicial service/ employees and pensioners; payment of 7% DA / DR w.e.f.1.7.2011 and earlier outstanding DAs without modification, alteration and subsequent such entitlements as per Govt.of India Orders to avoid frequent undesirable strikes in larger interest of general public; payment of ad-hoc bonus for the year 2010-11; to clear all pending Die-in-harness appointment at one shot; payment of adequate SCA to the tune of 25% as the present DA dose had already been crossed 50%; ACP scheme to be at par of Central Govt.; suitable Amendment of RRs to fill-up all the vacant posts to be held by MSS Cadre ; to fill-up all the vacant posts of LDA ; declaration of gazetted post in respect of Assistant Section Officer; declaration of DPC results for promotion of Group D employees to LDA post; to issue orders on engagement of Guneshwor Singh as Computer Operator (on contract) who has been preparing whole pay bills through ECS / CPIS of Manipur Secretariat establishment; no posting of Junior MCS in the Civil Secretariat; No.of MFS posting in Secretariat to minimise; vacation of non-Secretariat offices from the Manipur Secretariat; re-establishment of Planning Department in the Civil Secretariat; adoption of Rotational Transfer & Posting Policy to rationalise the whole working of Civil Secretariat.
