O Ibobi writes to Prime Minister, Home Minister

Chief Minister O Ibobi has written to the Prime Minister and the Union Home Minister advising them not to go ahead with the proposed Supra State body for Nagas without consulting the Government of Manipur simply to appease NSCN-IM .
Taking serious note of the Centre's proposal to set up a Supra State body for Nagas living in Manipur, Assam and Nagaland, Ibobi dispatched his letters to the Prime Minister and the Union Home Minister yesterday.
In the letters, Ibobi clearly laid down the State Government's position on the issue, conveyed an official source.
He cautioned the Centre not to go ahead with its proposal without consulting State Governments concerned as the issue is a very sensitive one.

The Chief Minister also demanded the Centre to give re-assurance that Manipur's territorial integrity would not be disturbed.
He further urged the Government of India to come up with a clarification without delay.
Ibobi also conveyed to the Centre that Manipur's territorial integrity cannot be compromised under any circumstances.
