3 AR Jawans injured

Imphal, November 15 2011:
At least three jawans of Assam Rifles were wounded when they were attacked by suspected militants in the new Somtal area in Chandel district of Manipur, a police source here said Tuesday.
The source said at around 10:30 am today, troops of 36 Assam Rifles who were on a ROP in the New Somtal area, about 300 km from Imphal, was attacked by suspected militants by setting off two powerful IEDs which exploded a few minutes apart and caused injuries to at least three personnel of the ROP party.
The three injured jawans were airlifted to the military hospital in the district by an Army Chopper, the source added.
It was not immediately confirmed who was behind the attack.
