Three cases detected, active cases fall to 17

Imphal, April 25 2022:
Monday reported three new positive cases of Covid-19 out of 206 samples tested at 1.46 per cent test positivity rate against 1.08 per cent recorded on Sunday.
No death cases were reported in the last 24 hours and the toll stands at 2120.Till date, the virus has claimed lives of 194 vaccinated people of which 61 had received the second dose of Covid vaccine.
In the last 24 hours, two patients were discharged from home isolation.
However, 11 already discharged cases were updated only on Monday and the total number of recoveries on Monday has been calculated as 13 .
Number of active cases came down to 17 out of which 9 (52.94 per cent) are in home isolation.
So far, the state has recorded 11,427 positive cases and 118 fatalities since the beginning of the third wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported 121 new positive cases and zero fatality.
The weekly number of new cases and new fatalities are 17 and zero respectively.
According to official reports, all the three fresh cases (1 male & 2 female) are from among the general population and they are from Bishnupur (2) and Thoubal (1) districts.
The cumulative number of positive cases has reached 1,37,215 (general population - 1,32,201 and CAPF personnel - 5,014) .
Number of recovered cases is 1,35,078 (general population - 30,071 and CAPF personnel - 5,007) and number of active cases is 17 (general population) .
The recovery rate remains at 98.44 per cent.
A total of 104 D-type and 14 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours and 161 vaccine doses were administered taking the cumulative number of vaccinated people to 15,53,550, including 11,98,019 who had received the second dose and 76,122 jabbed with precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (48745), Imphal East (30443), Thoubal (10160), Churachandpur (11054), Kangpokpi (3133), Tamenglong (3478), Bishnupur (9842), Senapati (2493), Ukhrul (3275), Kakching (6896), Chandel (2725), Noney (1158), Tengnoupal (1201), Jiribam (1111), Kamjong (1036), and Pherzawl (465).Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (704), Imphal East (511), Thoubal (189), Churachandpur (168), Kangpokpi (67), Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur (205), Senapati (12), Ukhrul (51), Kakching (122), Chandel 42), Noney (5), Tengnoupal 15), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5) and Pherzawl (0) .
Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 44,220 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 30,658 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 5,18,420 tests per million population against the national average of 5,94,330 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.55 per cent.
The cumulative positivity rate is at 8.53 per cent.
