Lecture on prevention of Malaria held

On the occasion of World Malaria Day, Keithelmanbi Battalion of IGAR (S) organised a lecture on prevention of malaria at Nambol in Bishnupur district on Monday.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that the lecture was conducted to acquaint the local populace on health issues and preventive measures against malaria.
The meeting provided a platform to discuss various health issues of the local populace of Nambol.
The lecture witnessed a healthy participation of women, elders and children of the village.
Locals were provided adequate information about preventive measures and community measures to contain the spread of malaria, said the release.
Meanwhile, Khuga Battalion of IGAR (S) conducted a medical camp at Zou Khunou village, Churachandpur district on Monday to reach out to the local populace with a helping hand and provide medical treatment to those who have no access to basic healthcare services.
Medical team from Assam Rifles carried out health check-up of 16 villagers.
