3 test positive, TPR at 1.5 pc

Three persons were confirmed positive out of 206 samples tested for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours which put the daily positivity rate at 1.5 per cent.
The fresh positive cases belong to Bishnupur (2) and Thoubal (1), informed a bulletin issued by Additional Director (Health) and Covid-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang.
In the meantime, two persons were discharged from home isolation during the last 24 hours following recovery.
Further, due to various reasons, 11 persons were reported as discharged cases only today.
Therefore the total number of recovered cases is considered as 13 after reconciliation.
The cumulative number of Covid-19 positive cases in the State is 1,37,215 (general population 1,32,201 and Central security personnel 5,014) .
It includes 17 active cases from general population and 1,35,078 recovered cases (general population 1,30,071 and Central security personnel 5007) .
The recovery rate as on Monday is 98.44 per cent.
However, the death toll remains unchanged at 2120 as there was no report of Covid related death during the last 24 hours.
A total of 104 D-type oxygen cylinders and 14 B-type oxygen cylinders were made available to different healthcare facilities of the State yesterday.
Out of the total 490 Covid beds of JNIMS and RIMS, only one is currently occupied at JNIMS.
So far, the cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 28,27,691 (first dose 15,53,550, second dose 11,98,019 and precautionary dose 76,122) .
Till April 24, 51.15 per cent of the State's total eligible population has been vaccinated with both the first and second doses of Covid vaccine while 61.65 per cent has received the first dose.
