Programme for scientific awareness in rural areas conclude

The valedictory ceremony of the 8-day programme on 'Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Demonstration and Popularization, Science Awareness in the rural areas' was held today at the premises of the Kwakta Community Hall, Bishnupur District, Manipur.
As per a statement from PDF, the programme was organised by People's Development Foundation (PDF) Cherapur and sponsored by the National Council for Science and Technology Communications, Department of Science & Technology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India.
The highlights of the closing day included various science based students activities namely science quiz competition, science model competition and painting competition.
The programme was organized with an objective to popularize and inculcate the basic science and technology innovations amongst the educationally backward SC/ST concentrated rural areas in Manipur.
Md Riyas Shah, Principal RS Academy, Mohd Shaferuddin, President (PDF) and Md Anwar Khan, social worker were the chief guest, president and guest of honour of the closing function.
