Imphal, April 25 2022:
The proscribed People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) is all set to observe the '9th Indian Colonialism Resist Day' on Tuesday to commemorate the series of atrocities allegedly committed by Indian security forces against civilians in Manipur under the shadow of various black laws as well as the infamous Patsoi firing incident of April 26, 1980 .
Extending revolutionary greetings to the people on the occasion, a PREPAK statement issued by its charge de' affairs of publicity and propaganda Leibaak Ngaakpa Luwang said that 'Indian Colonialism Resist Day' will be observed at outfit's CHQ, GHQ, THQ, transit camps, training centres and other areas.
According to PREPAK, people of Manipur have long been suffering due to India's subjugation policy based on military repression and torture.
Indian security forces have killed many innocent civilians including women and children of Manipur and they have also tortured and made many people involuntarily disappeared.
Apart from this, Indian security forces have raped many women and carried out genocide under the shadow of numerous black laws including AFSPA-1958, the outfit said.
The outfit also recalled some of the alleged genocidal killings committed by Indian forces in Manipur like Patsoi Langjing killing of April 26, 1980, Oinam (Senapati) massacre of July 11,1987, RIMS (formerly RMC) massacre of January 7, 1995 and Malom massacre of November 2, 2000.Among these massacres and killings, the Patsoi Langjing killing of April 26, 1980 was the first clear example of colonial repression which not only lighted fire to patriotic people but also converted fire of revolutionary movement into wildfire and would ever remain in the revolutionary history of Kangleipak.
While recalling the Patsoi Langjing incident, the PREPAK statement said that some Red Army of the outfit killed two CRPF men at Patsoi Lamkhai of Langjing Chingkhong at about 9.15am on the day and snatched two weapons.
Immediately after the incident, CRPF troops stationed at Langjing fired indiscriminately and killed four innocent people while women and children of the area were tortured.
So as to remind the people of animalistic behaviour shown by Indian forces during Patsoi Langjing incident forever in the Kanglei history and to make it known to global people, PREPAK commemorates the day every year as 'Indian Colonialism Resist Day', it said.
While calling upon people to stand united and raise voice against atrocities committed by Indian forces on the civilians in Manipur, the outfit also urged people to raise anti-IOF slogans so as to expose excesses of Indian security forces.
