Imphal, April 17 2016:
As part of the 15-day long sensitization campaign for electoral reforms, Left Parties Coordination Committee, Manipur held a meeting today at Kala Vidya Bhavan, Khurai Sajor Leikai which was attended by over 200 people.
Five Left parties in the State, CPI, CPI (M), CPI (ML) Liberation, RSP and AIFB, joined hands for the campaign.
Speaking during the meeting, Dr M Nara, secretary, CPI, Manipur State sought the support of the public in defeating the BJP Government at the Centre for propagating communalism in the country and the corrupt State Government led by O Ibobi and stated that it is impossible to defeat them without people's support.
Sarat Salam, Secretary, CPI (M) while addressing the meet stated that the State Govt of the Congress cannot exist without corruption and slammed the BJP as a money-driven party.
Gyaneshwar of Forward Bloc, N Ratan of RSP, S Samungou of CPI (ML) Liberation, L Sotinkumar of CPI, and Ksh Santosh of CPI (M) were among the eminent politicians who attended the meeting.
CPI leader Konsam Mani was the president of the meeting.
