Mass Awareness Campaign ends

The mass awareness campaign initiated by the Manipur Peoples Party (MPP) Youth Front with the objective of aiding the ongoing nationwide Census 2011 operations ended today in a simple function at the office of the MPP Youth Front.
According to L Sonamani, secretary publicity of the MPP Youth Front, the campaign was carried out in all subdivisions of the state involving different stakeholders to ensure a truthful and correct census report.
Lauding the supervisors, enumerators and the general public for their overall sincerity and good response during the Census 2011 operations, the Youth Front claimed that as per its investigations, the recent Census record is 86 percent correct.
Pointing out that such Census operations are carried out only once in a decade, he also called upon all to shake off the time-worn habit of taking lightly of the operations and to later crib that mistakes have been made in the operations.
"We should all come forward to rectify the mistakes, if any, during the stipulated period of March 1-5," L Sonamani said in a press statement issued today.
He further stated that the MPP Youth Front's campaign uncovered many errors especially in some hill areas and will be presenting the findings during the time frame given for clarifications.
In a press release, KSA stated that the restriction of KSA will be exempted during the Yaoshang Festival.
Further, it appealed to the people of the state to cooperate the action of KSA in order to make the upcoming examinations free and fair ones.
