Tribal chiefs to hold rally today

Tribal chiefs under the banner United Chiefs Committee (UCC) is all set to organise a peaceful rally tomorrow to protest the three 'anti-tribal Bills' passed by the Manipur Assembly.
They will submit a memorandum to the President before winding up the protest, UCC sources said.
The tribal chiefs will gather at Tuibuong Peace ground and will begin their rally from 1 pm tomorrow.
The rally will conclude at KKL complex which is located in the vicinity of the DC's residence and will present a memorandum for the President.
'All tribal chiefs have been requested to turn-up for the rally along with their red blankets (commonly known as the chiefs red blanket) while joining the historic rally to air our genuine grievances,' pleaded UCC functionaries while emphasizing the need to raise their voice of dissent against the Bills that were passed by the State Assembly.
Meanwhile, womenfolk of Leimatak area yesterday held a rally to protest the three 'anti-tribal Bills' and pledged their support to the ongoing movement.
