Unknown miscreant ransack Apfii Saliki complex, Senapati

Senapati, August 23 2021:
In an unusual incident, Apfii Saliki (women market) complex located at the heart of Senapati District Headquarters was ransacked and damaged by unidentified miscreants.
The ceilings of the market complex and electric wires were broken, ceiling fans & window glass were broken and waste papers were littered around.
The motive behind such damages and when it happened were unknown.
According to police, the incident happened some days back and so far no formal complaint has been received in this regard.

It may be mentioned that Apfii Saliki Senapati, which has the capacity of more than 200 vendors was inaugurated by Chief Minister N Biren Singh in the presence of TA & H Minister N Kayisii and Minister PHE L Dikho on October 30, 2018 still remains unused till date.
The women market complex was constructed by the agency, Manipur Police Housing Corporation Ltd under the Planning Department, Government of Manipur.
