Cabinet refers DPC probe report to Law Department

A Cabinet meeting today thoroughly discussed the report of a high level committee looking into the controversy that surrounds the DPC results for recruitment of primary teachers.
But no final decision has been taken.
The Cabinet, approving the award of Rs 10 lakh to five time world boxing champion MC Mary Kom as a encouragement to the pugilist, has also decided to hold a grand reception at a state level function to be organized at Khuman Lampak Indoor Stadium on her arrival on September 25 .
Government will declare a half holiday on Sept.
25.The cash award is to be handed over by Chief Minister, O Ibobi who will grace the function as chief guest as per cabinet decision, government spokesperson, IFCD minister, N Biren said after the cabinet meeting this evening.
With regard to the discussion of the report of the high level committee led by chief secretary looking to into the leaking of DPC results of the primary teachers recruitment, Biren said the report of the committee was placed before the cabinet for discussion and was referred for comment to the law department before a cabinet decision is reached.
He, however, refused to divulge details of the report.
The cabinet meeting which started at 3 pm went and ended at 7.30 pm discussed various agendas including a report of a high level committee looking into cases of overlapping in the ongoing Census Operation 2011 .

The cabine decided to call a meeting of the MLAs concerned of the districts and find a way to solve it.
The meeting will be convened at 4 pm tomorrow, the spokesperson said.
Other agenda discussed and approved by the cabinet included amending rules and regulations of loans availed by legislators of the state Assembly after his or her death, deputation of a liaison officer along with staff in Bangalore to assist state students studying in the city, extension of terms of two fast track courts in Manipur and government provisions of monetary assitance assistants upto Rs one lakh to BPL card holders and family with same status as certified by SDO concerned.
The cabinet also approved to conduct a direct recruitment of 25 officers through Manipur health services to fill up vacant posts in the health service sector, Biren said.
