Imphal, September 22 2010:
All Colleges Tribal Students Organisation, Manipur (ACTSOM) while lauding United Naga Council (UNC) for lifting the economic blockade, has urged the Naga leaders and both the State and the Central Governments to come out with a solution that will be far reaching and beneficial for all sections of the people in Manipur.
ACTSOM termed the latest move of the UNC as 'a new mechanism which gives new thoughts and hope.' ACTSOM appealed the Centre to address the rampant human rights violations in Manipur.
The tribal students also urged the Government to avail PDS items for the tribal students from far-flung areas residing in Imphal for studies.
