Chehlep girl's right hand amputated, Ching Tam Trust visits girl at RIMS

The minor girl from Chehlep village in Tengnoupal District, who had suffered electric shock from an unfenced transformer near her house, got her hand amputated this afternoon at RIMS Hospital, Imphal while her parent bore the unfortunate incident, courtesy to alleged blunder of power department, with tears and heavy heart.
The poor little girl came into contact with the unfenced transformer installed near her house while playing on February 6 and doctors at RIMS Hospital advised them to undergo amputation considering the severity of the burn.
The little girl got her right hand amputated from her elbow this afternoon at around 12.30 pm at RIMS Hospital and was shifted to Surgery Burn Unit Ward after the surgery.
The parent of the poor little girl who bear the alleged extreme blunder and failure of the concerned department in maintaining safety measure while installing the transformer has , reportedly arranged the amount through loan for her treatment.
Meanwhile, Ching Tam Trust (CCTrust) paid a visit to see the poor girl at RIMS Hospital today and contributed Rs 10,000/- for the girl's treatment.
It also visited a 6 years old boy from Bishnupur with similar condition next to the little girl and donated Rs 10,000/- for his treatment.
KSO Tengnoupal cautioned to launch intense form of agitation if the concerned authority fails to take the matter seriously.
