Gorkha students' annual conference ends

The two-day annual conference of All Manipur Gorkha Students' Union held with the theme 'Youth, Education and responsibilities' concluded today at Government Hindi Secondary School, Kanglatongbi.
The conference was attended by 90 delegates representing different units of AMGSU including its Delhi NCR unit.
The conference was also attended by hundreds of people from different parts of Manipur, according to a statement.
The opening ceremony yesterday was attended by Shiva Kumar Basnet, Pradhan, Kanglatongbi GP as the chief guest.
Nara Prasad Sharma, Headmaster of Government Hindi Secondary School, Kanglatongbi was the guest of honour while Anil Kumar Dahal was the functional president.
The closing ceremony today was attended by Vandana Karki, DIG (Range-III), Okram Henry, social activist and Dilip Katwal, SO PWD and Anil Kumar Dahal as the chief guest, guests of honour and president respectively.
Amongst others, Prof Tankanath Khatiwoda (PCM), Prof GP Prasain, HOD, Dept of Commerce, MU, Prof Dhiraj Thapa, Lamka Govt College attended the conference, the statement added.
