Inspection team stoned at Thoubal

One candidate of the ongoing HSSLC exam conducted by COHSEM sustained injury when a group of school students pelted stone on the vehicle of an exam inspection team today around 12.20pm near LS Talkies at Thoubal.
Window panes of the vehicle were shattered in the attack.
The inspection team was returning from Pallel, Komlathabi centres.
K Dilipkumar Sharma, an HSSLC candidate from Fancier Abhiram Higher Secondary School along with his father were riding back home after writing the exam when the incident took place.
He got hit at the left chest.
K Dilipkumar is a resident of Thoubal Athokpam.
The team members escaped the attack unhurt.
Significantly, two students were expelled prior to this incident from Thoubal centre for using unfair means in the exam.
At the same time, K Samananda, father of Dilipkumar has appealed the authority concerned to make arrangement so that his son does not miss the exam due to the injury.
Meanwhile, Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur Chairman Hamom Nabachandra briefing newspersons at the Council office today appealed to all sections of the society to extend fullest cooperation in the Council's endeavour to ensure smooth and fair conduct of the HSSLC examination.
Regretting the Thoubal incident along with stating that a police case would be filed on the attack against the flying squad team, he said separate flying squad teams expelled two candidates from different exam centres in the district today as they were found using unfair means at the exam.
It is said that 42 flying squads have been set up to check use of unfair means in the ongoing examination.
