Kangpokpi Christian Church helps frontline workers at Kpi

Kangpokpi, April 21 2020:
The Kangpokpi Christian Church today reached out to the frontline workers of COVID-19 pandemic in the district, especially the health workers and police personnel who are risking their lives every day in combating the pandemic.
The Kangpokpi Christian Upate (KCU), the Kangpokpi Christian Nupite (KNC) and Kangpokpi Christian Khangthahte (KCK) under the aegis of Kangpokpi Christian Church lead by its Pastor Rev J Lunkim and his wife Kimlhai Lunkim provided rice and other essential items to doctors and nurses on duty at District Hospital Kangpokpi.
The essential items were handed over to in-charge Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Kangpokpi, Dr Paotinlal Haokip, while visiting the hospital this noon.
The Church leaders also served tea and snack to police personnel and KYU members on duty.
Speaking to media persons, Rev J Lunkim, Pastor KCC said that the rice was contributed by each member of the Church on the basis of 'Khutsip' on every Saturday throughout the year.
Khutsip is a hand full of rice donated by all the Church members to the Church to help in extending the Kingdom of God.
The Church Secretary expressed gratitude to the doctors and nurses and other health workers of the district while the Pastor prayed for their well-being and safety of the frontline workers.
It is worth mentioning that Churches services in Kangpokpi were suspended since the nationwide lockdown.
