All Manipur Nupi Marup decries LPG price hike

Imphal, August 18 2021: Reacting strongly against the steep price hike of LPG in the State, All Manipur Nupi Marup has declared that it will stage stringent form of protest along with the support of the public demanding to reverse the price hike.

All Manipur Nupi Marup in a press release denounced the steep hike of LPG price by Rs 25 amid the trying times of COVID-19 pandemic and stated that such a move has put the women of the State in particular in a tight situation when everyone is struggling to make the ends meet.

It may be noted that price of LPG was revised in April and July and with the latest revision this month, the price of one LPG is Rs 1,011.50, continued the statement.

The All Manipur Nupi Marup also expressed serious concern that the price of essential commodities including the edible items have been increased by 50-100 percent which is disheartening where the major section of the population belongs to poor and needy households.

In view of the hardships faced by the people, the Nupi Marup will take up stringent form of agitations demanding to lower the price of essential commodities and LPG.
