Govt allocates ex-gratia amount

Imphal, December 10 2013:
In line with the Cabinet decision adopted on November 11, 2013, the State Government has sub-allocated a sum of Rs 17,20,000 to the Imphal West Deputy Commissioner for payment of ex-gratia to the next of kin of the individuals killed/injured in the Yaiskul Janmasthan Hicham Yaicham Pat bomb blast on October 30 this year.
The sub-allocations are Rs 5 lakh each for Leishungbam Brojen (35) s/o late Shitol Singh of Andro Bazar but staying at Palace Gate, Pureiromba Leikai, Holhun Touthang (45) s/o Tongkothang Touthang of Bijang village, Churachandpur district but staying Game Village, G-19, Zone IV and Laishram Rajen (36) s/o L Jatra of Singjamei Nameirakpam Leikai who were killed in the bomb blast.
Sub-allocation of Rs 50,000 each has also been made for the victims who sustained grievous injuries namely Wairokpam Obidia Singh (21) s/o late W Bijoy of Irom Meijrao Makhai Thounaojam Leikai, Robert Baite (33) s/o Yangkholun Baite of Terakhong Barnimakhong, Shojam Baite (60) s/o late Chomkhothang Baite of Moreh Ward No 1 and Seikholal Mate (30) s/o Paosei Mate of Moreh Ward No 1 .
Further, sub-allocation of Rs 20,000 has been made for Samom Bikram alias Naoba (28) s/o Shyamkanhai of Yaiskul who sustained minor injuries in the same bomb blast.
An order issued in this regard by Principal Secretary (Home) Dr J Suresh Babu instructed the Imphal West DC that the amount sanctioned in favour of the beneficiaries shall be disbursed within 30 days from the date of drawal and furnish the original APRs and utilization certificate to Govt thereafter.
