Interactive programme held

The 12 BIHAR of 9 Sector AR under the aegis of IGAR(South) organised an interaction programme at Ghari village of Tulihal today.
The programme provided help to the Centre for Mental Hygiene (CMH), Ghari and further provided a platform for interaction with CMH, Flamingo Centre for Mental Health and mentally challenged children.
The event which was attended by 250 people including the parents and relatives of the specially abled children, also hosted a cultural performance by the specially abled children.
The noble effort of the army was met with a great zeal and enthusiasm by the people of the organisation.
Speaking on the function Commanding Officer, 12 BIHAR expressed hope that this kind initiative by Army/Assam Rifles would help the organization for functioning in a more purposeful manner.
The function was attended by many civil dignitaries including Ch.
Leibaklokpi Devi, Chairperson, Social Welfare Department and Y.Surchandra Singh, President, All Manipur NGO Forum who praised the efforts of the army towards that part of the society who have been left behind to fend for themselves.
The step, they believed, would strengthen the bond between army and the locals.
