Imphal, November 06 2009:
The Zeliangrong Students' Union Manipur (ZSUM) has appealed to the authority concerned to make necessary arrangements so that schools located in the valley districts can be opened at the earliest, reports our Tamenglong correspondent.
The ZSUM chairman while maintaining that the July 23 incident was condemnable, observed that boycotting of class for so long would ruin the life of students.
Though schools have been closed in valley districts, normal classes are continuing in other districts.
Observing that annual examinations are fast approaching, the ZSUM chairman appealed to the authority concerned to address the issue.
The student body also thanked the Government for giving job opportunity to unemployed youths by way of recruitment as VDF.
Any body found giving or accepting bribe would be dealt with strictly, the student body warned.
