Omicron scare: DM orders strict compliance of National Directives

Bishnupur, December 28 2021:
In view of the emergence of the Omicron variant of Covid-19, District Magistrate Bishnupur has ordered for strict compliance of the National Directives in Bishnupur district till January 31, 2022 .
In a release, DM Bishnupur stated considering the extreme circumstance, the order was passed ex-parte under Section 144 of CrPCC.
As per the order, it is mandatory to wear face mask in public places, workplaces and during transport; maintain social distance; and spitting in public places would be punishable with fine.
Additional directives for work places includes- practice work from home as far as possible; follow staggering of work/business hours; provisions of thermal scanning, hand wash or sanitizers at all entry points; frequent sanitization of the entire workplace; etc.
The DM further informed that any persons/organisations found violating the order shall be liable for punishment as per relevant provisions of the Disaster Management Act and Indian Penal Code.
