Nemcha Kipgen launches "Chief Minister's Health for All" at Kpi

Kangpokpi AC MLA Nemcha Kipgen on Tuesday launched the "Chief Minister's Health for All" at Health and Wellness Centre, Kalapahar.
The launching programme organized by District Health Society Kangpokpi was attended by Nemcha Kipgen; Dr N Shyamjai Singh, SMD, NHM Manipur; Dr Y Premchandra Singh, Deputy Director Health, SNO, CHMA and NCD; Kedarnath Poudyal, vice chairman Kalapahar Village Authority; Dehlam Lhouvum, chairman Keithelmanbi village; and Dr Lamkhoneng Haokip, CMO/DMD, District Health Society Kangpokpi as presidium members.
Speaking on the occasion, Nemcha Kipgen stated that Chief Minister's Health For All (CMHA) was launched on October 14, 2021, to spread awareness on the importance of regular health checkups and provide assistance in accomplishing it efficiently.

She continued that the scheme will provide door-to-door health screening for primary health care and chronic disease management under the National Health Mission and Directorate of Health Services of Manipur while adding that the screening will be exercised with a hand-held screening device of a patient connected with doctors at Command Centre by Telemedicine.
She also mentioned that the health workers would screen for a total of 9 NCDs including hypertension, diabetes, heart diseases, kidney ailments, respiratory diseases, common cancers, mental health problems, and stroke/post-stroke illnesses.
"Aushadhi medicines will be provided and delivered to the patients free of cost, along with further treatment under CMHT and PMJAY", she added.
The MLA also informed that in the first phase, 1628 villages will be selected comprising all 16 districts and these villages would be linked to 118 Primary Health Sub-centers, 29 Primary Health Centers and 7 Community Health Centers.
The MLA further stated that CHMA has benefited the people even in remote areas as health experts, doctors, and nurses were deployed to every village of the district to spread awareness on the importance of regular health checkups, monitor for early identification and diagnosis of Non-Communicable Diseases.
As part of the programme, Nemcha Kipgen also handed over ASHA plus devices, smartphones, etc to CHOs, Nurses, and ASHA workers for the newly launched campaign.
