Imphal, December 28 2021: The Hill's Landownership Compensation Demand Association (HLCDA) has imposed an indefinite ban on the road widening/expansion work of NH-37 from New Keithelmanbi to Charoi Pandongba demanding immediate clearance of land compensation.

The association, in a release said that a one-day bandh scheduled from December 16 midnight to December 17 in the same demand, was called off following the intervention of local MLA, Ngamthang Haokip and his assurance to arrange a talk when the Chief Minister returns from New Delhi.

As the matter remains inconclusive till date, the ban has been called to cause payment of due compensation, it said.
