Seminar on Hindi literature held

A state level seminar of women in modern Hindi literature was organised by the Manipur Hindi Parishad at the Conference Hall of Hindi Parishad today.
The seminar was graced by Retired Professor of MU, Prof Elangbam Dinamani and Vice-President of Hindi Parishad, Ramnath Prasad as the chief guest and president respectively.
Addressing the gatherings, Secretary of Manipur Hindi Parishad, Dr S Lanchenba Meitei said such seminar has been organised annually by the Parishad.
It aims to promote the Hindi literature and indentify and discuss the factors that hinder the growth and development of the literature, he said.
However, women in Hindi literature has been chosen as the theme of this year's seminar in order to trace and discuss the contributions and role of women.
