Fire at Mantripukhri destroys

Imphal, March 25 2012:
Properties worth lakhs of rupees were reduced to ashes in a fire that broke out at Mantripukhri today.
The inferno is suspected to have started at around 6.25 am between the office of All Manipur Road Transport and Motor Workers' Union (AMRTMWU) and an automobile workshop.
Documents and properties worth Rs 10 lakhs kept inside the office of AMRTMWU were reduced to ashes in the fire.
Apart from this, a roadside eating vendor and four four-wheelers and equipments and tools kept inside Bishnu Workshop were also ravaged by the fire.
