1st phase of exhibition for Inspire Award begins

The first phase of district level exhibition and project competition for Inspire Award has begun today at Bengali High School.
State Nodal Officer of Inspire Award, Kenedy said the objective of the programme is to identify scientific talents and innovative ideas of students from class VI to X .
The first phase of the competition scheduled till tomorrow, was intended for students from Thoubal, Churachandpur, Bishnupur and Chandel.
The organiser registered 165 students in the first phase.
It may be mentioned that no student from Chandel has participated in the competition.
Each participant is given Rs 5000 .
Kenedy said 62 students would be selected from all the districts and these students would compete in the State level competition.
Among them five best students would be sent for national level competition.
The inaugural function was attended today by Director of Education (S), W Rajen and Additional Director CB Paudyal as the chief guest and president respectively.
