Senapati, April 29 2022: A one day Financial Literacy Camp was conducted for selected SHG leaders of Senapati District at Viewland, Senapati DHQ.

The camp was jointly organised by SBI Senapati Branch, ACCORDS (Apex Cluster Community Resource Development Society) and NABARD.

It was attended by representative from CFL (Centre for Financial Literacy) led by Lead Bank Manager (LDM), L Simon Peter; Shing Jerome, director ACCORDS; Chief manager, Ch Guneshwore Singh of SBI Senapati Branch and 40 representatives drawn from various SHGs of the district.

Speaking on the occasion, Guneshwore elaborated the genesis of SHGs in Manipur, necessity for creation of SHGs, purpose of creation of SHGs, etc.

He shared the process of bank linkage, type of loans that can be considered for sanction and quantum of loan amount.

He also emphasised on the habit of making small savings, proper use of loan amount and timely repayment of loan.

Guneshwore further assured that maximum possible financial assistance will be extended to needy SHGs.
