The Manipur People Party (MPP) today expressed surprise when state health and family welfare minister, Ph Parijat quoted MPP of remaining as silent spectator even though prices of the goods are sky rocketing in the state while speaking at the felicitation function of those who participated in the Left organised protest on price hike at New Delhi recently.
A statement of the MPP signed by its general secretary Kh Ibomcha dispatched to the media today quoted minister Parijat of CPI as saying that MPP is remaining still as silent spectator when prices of goods sky rocketed across India while expressing surprise on the revelation and asked whether Parijat forgets that he is a minister in the O Ibobi led SPF government in the state.
As a cabinet minister, he might have attended Cabinet meetings which discussed on the price hike but it was not heard that he had objected to any decision regarding the hiking of the prices of goods and while after stepping out from the meeting he is saying no to price hike.
The statement also asked MPP had not heard any proposal from the minister of the CPI shouting as friends of farmers putting up any proposal for making policies or suggestions for the welfare of the farmers of the state.
When CPI minister held the FCS department how was the distribution of rice, sugar and kerosene under public distribution system in the state is well known by every section of the people, the statement went on to observe.
MPP is not a party that luring the people with false promises.
His statement that MPP is remaining taking interest in searching behind the killing of people is also a baseless one, the lengthy statement of the party when on to react with the statement of minister, Parijat.
