Imphal, March 26 2010:
"Battle of Shangsak" a documentary film on the wars fought between Allied Force and Japanese from March 19, 1944 to 26 was released today with a function at the conference hall of the Hotel Imphal.
The documentary film was released by 91-year old RS Malungring, the survivor of the battle at Shangsak in Ukhrul district.
At the age of 25, he worked under Major Khathing of Allied Force as commando personnel of V-Force.
The 27 minutes long documentary released today was produced under the banner of Palm Film Media.
Yumnam Rajeshwor is the producer of the film produced by Huidrom Sandyarani.
Producer Rajeshwor speaking on the occasion said that while shooting the documentary it took one year.
The film could have been released sometime back but it was delayed till today to coincide with the last day of the battle of Shangsak and to mark offering of homage to the soldiers killed in the battle field.
