Lamka, May 20 2013:
The armed outfit UTLA has accused 22 AR of abducting two of their cadres by falsely implicating them, in cahoots with SK Thadou and group, of kidnapping railway company workers.
Ngambom Singson, army no.1015 and Hencha alias William, army no.1063 were kidnapped by 22AR from Kadamtala on May 16 midnight, said a statement signed by one Franklin Singson, Dy Defence secretary and incharge of I&PR adding, it will be unlawful for the AR to torture their abducted cadres and used electric currents during interrogation.
Questioning the basis on how AR has allowed themselves to be used as a hammer by SK Thadou and his group, UTLA said the man in question was the enemy of every armed group from both the KNO & UPF, and the State and Central security forces of India.
Though he claims to be the Chariman of the outfit, he was never a member of the outfit and has never took an oath, said UTLA.
UTLA also accused the SK Thadou and party of burning-down the residence of Kimneikhol at Phaitol village on May 16 at around 9.30pm but openly passing the blame to the two apprehended UTLA cadres.
Keeping few SK Thadou and party by 22AR at Kadamtala and conducting operation on the public and hunting UTLA cadres will not bring peace and harmony but threat to the region, alleged the statement which called on the higher authorities to see into the matter and not allowed the AR to indulge in such awkward and false accusation.
