The troops of 29 Assam Rifles under 26 Sector of HQ IGAR (South), conducted a heath awareness drive to the villagers of Lokchao village and briefed about malaria prevention as part of helping the villagers in the area of responsibility.
A team of Nursing Assistants attended the patients in the camp.
More than 128 people were treated in the camp and free medicine was also distributed to the villagers.
This health conscious step taken by the unit was appreciated by one and all in the area, a statement of the IGAR(S) said.
It also observed that lack of medical infrastructure in the area of Tengnoupal Sub Division deprive the locals of basic minimum medical facility which result in various diseases which can be cured by minor medical attention.
