Condition of NH-2 reviewed ahead of BCIM car rally

Ahead of the BCIM rally which has been scheduled to cross the state on February 26, a review meeting on National Highway-2 was held at the office chamber of Works minister Dr Kh Ratankumar in Old Secretariat, Manipur here.
The review meeting chaired by Ratankumar discussed on accelerating the repairing work taken up along the NH-2 (Imphal-Dimapur road) where the Bangladesh, China, India and Myanmar (BCIM) rally will pass through.
The meeting which was also attended by Principal Secretary (Works) Ram Muiva, Deputy Secretary (Works), Additional Chief Engineer-2, PWD, NHC, SE of PWD, NHC-1, EE of PWD, EE of NH-2, representatives of the work agency, HN Company, CMD, Dimapur and Sri Avantika, contractors Ltd, Hyderabad.
It also laid emphasized on more improvement of two sectors of the highway-Maram to Senapati and Tengnoupal to Moreh.
The rally will be flagged off on February 22 from Kolkata and it will enter Jiribam on February 26 and proceed toward Imphal and then to Moreh from where it will cross Myanmar.
