All Manipur Progressive Farmers' Association observes 24th foundation day

The 24th foundation day of All Manipur Progressive Farmers' Association (AMPFA) was celebrated today at Neina Shang Study Club at Tera Loukrakpam Leikai in Imphal West.
As a part of the programme, a discussion on how to initiate measures to alleviate the hardships faced by the farmers of the State was held.
Speaking as the chief guest, Dr Thoudam Susil Kumar, Technical Officer, Veterinary & Animal Husbandry under KVK Imphal East, Directorate of Extension Education, Central Agricultural University said that the AMPFA has been founded to look into the problems of the farmers and find means to solve it accordingly for farmers' welfare.

Expressing concern over the ignorance of the Government and its inability to formulate developmental policies for the farmers, he said that the farmers' body has been playing a major role in striving for a self-reliant society and has been working earnestly for the prosperity of the State.
The event was also attended by Konthoujam Thoiba Meetei, president AMPFA and Dr Sanasam Subhamenon, guest faculty, Department of Earth Sciences, Manipur University as the president and guest of honour respectively.
