DM Thoubal imposes new restrictions

Thoubal, January 09 2022:
In view of the increasing trend of COVID-19 cases and emergence of highly infectious Omicron variant, District Magistrate Thoubal has imposed night curfew from 9 pm to 5 am in Thoubal district.
In a release, DM Thoubal stated that the restriction was imposed as partial modification of the order dated December 29, 2021 .
As per the order, social gathering is allowed subject to ensuring Covid Appropriate Behaviour.
The gathering should be preferably in open halls and spaces.
In cases, it is held in enclosed spaces or halls, the number of people inside should not be more than 50% of the hall/space.
All establishment of Print & Electronic Media, essential services and movement of their personnel are allowed during curfew.
List of permitted activities- All Central and State Government offices shall function with 66% physical attendance of employees following strict Covid Appropriate Behaviour.
All shops and commercial establishments shall be allowed to open from 10 AM to 4 PM.
Shops selling fish, poultry and poultry products, milk and fresh milk products will be allowed from 8 AM to 1 PM .
Shopping Malls should ensure limiting the number of customers to 50% inside the mall and strict observance of Covid Appropriate Behaviour.
Eating areas of hotels or Restaurants shall allow and serve only 50% of their capacity.
Gymnasiums and Fitness centres may open from 5 AM to 12 noon.
Cinema halls/entertainment halls shall function only with 50% capacity.
Physical classes should be only for Class IX and above and the number of students should not exceed 50% of the capacity of the classroom.
Only online classes will be allowed for coaching centres and private tuition centres.
