Moreh blast decried

Meetei Council Moreh and Hill Tribal Council, Moreh have strongly condemned the bomb blast that occurred on January 6 at Chikkim village Moreh and which claimed the life of Thangminlal Haokip (25) s/o Thanglen Haokip of M Chahnou village.
A joint statement signed by L Tomba Singh, VP of MCM and Jangmang Haokip, President of HTC, said the blast was much uncalled for and should be condemned by every right thinking person.
The very fact that the incident occurred at a spot where passersby frequently use to take rest indicates the evil intention of whoever individual or group was responsible.
It only exposes the narrow mindedness and barbaric nature of the perpetrator of the crime, said the joint statement.
While condemning the uncivilized action, HTC and MCM appealed whoever is behind the crime not to repeat such acts in future adding that planting of bomb in public places is an act of cowardice and a serious offence to humanity .
The two bodies further appeal to all right thinking person to join hand and fight against such anti-social element who are keen to disturb the peaceful co-existence in Moreh and its surrounding areas.
