MCM, HTC condemn Moreh blast, urge to fight violence

Imphal, January 08 2013:
Meetei Council, Moreh (MCM) and Hill Tribal Council (HTC), Moreh have strongly condemned the bomb blast which occurred at around 8 pm on January 6 at Chikkim village in which claimed the life of Thangminlal Haokip (25) s/o Thanglen Haokip of M Chahnou village.
In a joint statement, Vice President of MCM L.Tomba Singh and President of HTC Jangmang Haokip observed that the very fact that the incident occurred at a spot frequently use by passers-by to take rest indicates the evil intention of whoever is responsible for the blast and it exposes the narrow-minded and barbaric nature of the perpetrators of the crime.
While calling upon all right thinking people to denounce such uncivilized action, the two Moreh bodies have also appealed to all concerned to ensure such crimes are not repeated in future.
Planting bomb in public places is an act of cowardice and a serious offence to humanity, the joint statement pointed out.
It also appeal to all right thinking person to join hand and fight against such anti-social elements who are keen to disturb the peaceful co-existence in Moreh and its surrounding areas.
