IMA appeals to PM

In the wake of greater connectivity between India and South East Asian countries through look east policy, Indo-Myanmar Association (IMA) has submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh urging him to gracious to the people of Manipur.
Stating that opening of eastern door would bring new terms of relationship and greater welfare amongst the neighbours, the memorandum signed by its Secretary L C Ruhinikumar urged India government not to marginalize the indigenous people of Manipur in relation to the process of trade and commerce activities between India and other South East Asian countries.
In the memorandum, Ruhinikumar also highlighted various possible prospects from the Look East Policy including cultural exchange and free flow of artistes, pilgrimages among the nations and collaboration of educational institutions
to undertake research in various fields.
